The principle of the Light Modulator Relief (LMR) operation is based on an electrical signal transformation into a nano-relief of a thin transparent dielectric layer.

The modulator LMR allows operating by light radiation from weak and powerful laser and thermal light sources, due to phase character of light modulation by the relief transparent non-absorbing radiation carrier. Thus, the polarization of light radiation is not required.
